Multi-Axis CNC Gundrilling Machine Developed For Fully Automatic Off-Center Deep Hole Drilling – Mollart Prismabore Series
The Mollart Multi-Axis CNC Prismabore series of deep hole drilling machines were developed to offer a machining center approach to deep hole drilling. The range offers a drilling diameter range between 5 – 40mm and drilling depths up to 1500mm, and full secondary operation machining as you would expect to find on a heavy-duty machining centers. Machines can be provided with part probing and tool probing to suit many applications where a deep hole is part of your machining needs. The column-type machine has 2-spindles and 5-axis FANUC CNC Control to facilitate gun drilling and auxiliary operations like milling, counterboring, tapping and thread milling using the ISO40 spindle.
There are 2 machines available in the range, PRB25 and PRB40 to cover different drilling requirements and specifications. This large-capacity machine is dedicated for the machining of mould and heat exchanger plates, hydraulic manifolds, cylinders for rolling mills and oil and gas components.
